Executive search, consulting and outsourced recruitment solutions firm TalentRISE today announced that Kathleen Murphy, formerly with Huron Consulting Group and Cardinal Health, has joined as Managing Director, Healthcare and Life Sciences.

“Kathleen holds an enviable track record executing winning talent attraction and recruitment strategies within the healthcare industry,” said Rick Gray, TalentRISE chief executive officer.  “Her knowledge and insights gained over many years of exposure to product, service and consulting markets will help us gain a greater foothold in this massive, highly complex and ever-growing industry.”

“I was attracted to TalentRISE first and foremost because of its people, but also to the unique, flexible recruitment model they’ve successfully built,” Murphy said.  “Their platform offers a particularly compelling proposition for the healthcare and life science industry with multiple segments and players beset by consolidation, regulatory, channel and technology disruption.”

Kathleen Murphy’s executive search, recruitment and leadership coaching career spans more than 25 years with leading professional service organizations and Fortune 500 corporations.  Most recently, since 2010, she was Director of Executive Recruiting at Huron Consulting Group, a leading business consulting firm serving the healthcare, life sciences, higher education and other commercial markets.

Previously, Murphy served as Vice President and Executive Coach at Kensington International, an executive search, coaching and global outplacement firm.  Prior to that, at Cardinal Health, Kathleen served as Recruiting Consultant for the firm’s $6 billion Medical Device and Products Division, and as Manager of Staffing and Recruiting for its Medical Distribution and Ambulatory Service Group domestically.  Earlier in her career, Murphy held recruiting and business development roles at Hollister, Aon Hewitt and Spencer Stuart.

An International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certified Coach, Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree (Sociology major) from St. Mary’s College in South Bend, IN and has taken classes towards her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Lake Forest, IL.  A former Board Member of the Career Resources Center in Lake Forest, she is an active volunteer with Feed My Starving Children and Habitat for Humanity.

TalentRISE provides consultative, highly tailored recruitment solutions to meet an organization’s most pressing talent challenges.  Founded in Chicago in 2008 with a national network of specialized talent consultants, the firm serves clients in multiple industries and across all organizational levels from high-growth companies to leading global brands.
